Morzine is one of the favourite tourist spot in the French Alps. the reason being its easy accessibility by either air or road. Driving distance for it from Calais is approximately around 8 hours. Geneva Airport is the most easIf driving then we are roughly 8 hours from Calais. the easiest airport to fly to this place is Geneva airport as it is just 1hr 15mins away compared to other airports in the UK.

One of the great attractions for visiting Morzine is the short transfer time from the airport. It can be roughly 1 hour and therefore easy to plan a short break or just a weekend in the French Alps. We have put up the following map for just a rough idea of where Morzine is situated in France

Morzine by Air

Morzine in one?of the closest ski resort to the uk Ferry ports about 8-9 hours drive from Calais if you are thinking of coming by car .After Geneva take  the A40-(towards Chamonix) exit motorway at Cluses, follow signs Taninges and then Les Gets, Morzine. The main advantage of having the car is shopping out of town in the large supermarkets where the prices are  lower You can also visit  some other local  ski Resorts like Samoens - Flaine &, Onion  are just a few to mention.

FLIGHTS
Geneva is the  closest ininternational airport  just under 90 minutes away or just over 2 hours from Lyon or 2 hours  20 minutes  from Grenoble. Its Motorway all the way to cluses then the last 30kms are still good roads up to the resort.

You can rent a car from Geneva  ( french side or the Swiss side of the airport ) Lyon and Grenoble
If Driving take the A40-(towards Chamonix) take the exit 18   at Cluses , follow signs Taninges and then Les Gets, Morzine.

Morzine By Road:

Morzine is one of the closest and easily reached alpine resorts from the UK. Driving to the resort is very simple. There is the motorway from Calais to within 30km of Morzine. The 535-mile journey can be completed in approximately eight to nine hours. Allow approximately ?35/54euros each way for road tolls. Fuel is cheaper than in the UK. The choice for crossing the channel lies between the ferries and Eurotunnel.

Morzine by Train:
There is a regular train service  TO  Thonon (40kms away) Saturday an Sundays  and the  TGV to Cluses (daily)   The closes station is Clusez just  30 kms away.
